Tour Description

We will be following the footsteps of Saint Paul, one of the most influential figures in the history of Christianity.

Our journey will start at the iconic Saint Paul Outside the Walls Basilica, which stands on the site where tradition holds that Saint Paul was buried after his execution in the 1st century. This basilica is one of the four papal basilicas in Rome and is a masterpiece of early Christian architecture.

We will then proceed to the Abbey of Three Fountains, located on the site where Saint Paul is said to have been beheaded in the 1st century. According to tradition, after his execution, his head bounced three times and three fountains of water sprang up, giving the site its name. It is a fascinating and meaningful place to visit for those interested in the life and legacy of Saint Paul. It’s a peaceful and serene spot that provides a wonderful contrast to the bustling city of Rome, and is a must-visit for anyone following in the footsteps of Saint Paul.

Our final stop will be the Mamertine Prison, where Saint Paul is said to have been held before his execution. This ancient prison is carved into the rock beneath the Capitoline Hill and is considered one of the most ancient prisons in the world.

Throughout our journey, we will explore the rich history and cultural heritage of Rome, as well as gain a deeper understanding of the life and legacy of Saint Paul.
