Life+Death. Art+Passion. Rome+Love.

About Caravaggio in Rome

In the late 16th century, the city of Rome was shocked by the artistic innovations introduced by Caravaggio.

His art and his personality were extraordinary and inseparable. He had a short and glorious career that was cut too short.

The streets and churches of Rome became a sort of museum for Caravaggio’s work. Thanks to historical documents, we can trace Caravaggio’s daily life, including his interactions with patrons, discussions with competitors, and changing opinions on his masterpieces.

If you’re interested in gossip, art, and the history of the city, this tour is for you!
