In March 2020 Ostia Antica has been awarded with the European Heritage Label by the European Commission, for being a milestone in the creation of today’s Europe, and symbolising European ideals, values, history and integration.

Only 25 km (=16 mi) away from Rome, a city buried for centuries have been totally excavated, and it’s ready to be visited.

Ostia was the first colony of Rome and harbour town, and quickly became essential for Rome business and military strategy.

If you love archaeology and you are interested in discovering the real ancient Roman daily life, you can’t miss this tour!

Tour Description

This tour is taking  you all around the ancient harbour city of Ostia, as a full immersion in the daily life of this important city.

You will visit the ancient apartments in the working class district, beautiful houses, fast foods, spas (baths), stores, a theater, laundries, bakeries, the market, temples

Stunning mosaics and marble floors, wall paintings, statues: this town is very well preserved.

Walking among the splendid ruins, you can understand how an ancient city was developed and how the roman life was organized.

This tour is a unique opportunity to experience an authentic Roman city: it is definetely an enriching experience.

Rates

1-2 people: €240 – entrance tickets included

Each extra person: €30 (max 10 people) – entrance tickets included

Each extra hour (or fraction) exceeding 3 hours: €60

Reservation policy

Non refundable deposit: although I do not request full payment of the tours and experiences until the day of your tour,  I request a  deposit which contains prepaid reservations which are NOT refundable to ensure your tour. 

I require from 50% to 70%  deposit (depending by the tour) to cover prepayment of reservations and entrance tickets in advance.  Any prepaid deposit is NOT refundable as I am not able to receive a refund.

The tour can NOT be rescheduled after the entrance tickets have been reserved for you.

Taxi or car to move from the meeting point to the location of the tour (if you choose the pick up in a specifical location).
