Tour Description

“All roads lead to Rome” is an old saying that’s almost true, and with this tour, you can experience one of those roads.

The Appian Way is one of the oldest streets built to connect Rome to other important cities. Starting not far from the Colosseum, it runs south for hundreds of miles.

In just a few hours, you can walk the first few miles from Porta San Sebastiano to the area of Roman tombs and enjoy the nature and archaeological ruins of the Roman countryside.

Rates

1-5 people: 

  • €180 (up to 3 hours)
  • Each extra hour (or fraction) exceeding 3 hours: €60

6-10 people:

  • €240 (up to 3 hours)
  • Each extra hour (or fraction) exceeding 3 hours: €80

Reservation policy

Non refundable deposit: although I do not request full payment of the tours and experiences until the day of your tour,  I request a  deposit which contains prepaid reservations which are NOT refundable to ensure your tour. 

I require from 50% to 70% deposit (depending by the tour) to cover prepayment of reservations and entrance tickets in advance.  Any prepaid deposit is NOT refundable as I am not able to receive a refund.

THIS TOUR can be rescheduled until 5 days before the tour.

What's included

Private guided tour (around 2,5 hours) of the Appian Way, mainly the following places: Porta San Sebastiano, Tomb of Caecilia Metella, Saint Sebastian church, Quo Vadis church, Castrum Caetani. The itinerary can customized to your wishes or needs, when possible.

A professional and licensed tour guide, according to the italian law.

Headset, for 6 or more people.

What's NOT included

Taxi or car to move from the meeting point to the location of the tour (if you choose the pick up in a specifical location).

Food and drinks.

Entraces to museum, archaeological areas, catacombs.

Everything else not clearly specified in the section “What’s Included”.
